When you have more than a handful of products, import them from a spreadsheet instead of entering them one at a time. The same tool updates existing products in bulk.

Preparing your file

Export the template from Catalog → Products → Import, then fill it in. At minimum each row needs a SKU, title, price, and quantity.

💡 Tip: The SKU column is the key. Rows whose SKU already exists update that product; new SKUs create new products. This is how you do mass price or stock updates safely.

Importing

1. Upload your file — go to Catalog → Products → Import and upload your .xlsx or .csv.
2. Map columns — match each spreadsheet column to a product field.
3. Validate — review the preview; the importer flags missing required fields or duplicate SKUs.
4. Run the import — confirm to apply.

⚠️ Warning: Always run a small test file first (5–10 rows) before importing thousands.
