Fulfillment is the process of turning a paid order into a shipped package.

Fulfillment state

Separate from the order’s lifecycle status, every order tracks a fulfillment state:

State	Meaning
Unfulfilled	Nothing has shipped yet
Partially fulfilled	Some line items shipped, others pending
Fulfilled	All items shipped

Tracking these separately is what makes partial shipments possible.

Where fulfillment happens

For most sellers, fulfillment runs through ShipStation:

Paid order ─▶ pushed by flow ─▶ ShipStation ─▶ label ─▶ tracking ─▶ order marked shipped
