Start on Apex Repricer → Status. Almost every answer below is visible there: the health cards say how many offers are in each state, and the Decisions table says why each price moved or did not.
A price is not changing
| Check | Where | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Is the offer assigned to an active strategy? | The product’s Amazon card, Repricing strategy; or the Offers tab filtered to Unassigned | Assign it, or activate the strategy |
| Is repricing paused on the offer? | The Amazon card shows Pause repricing on | Resume it |
| Does the offer have a floor? | Status, Waiting on Fees; the Decisions table reason (“no cost”, “no weight”, “fees not in”) | Add the Cost Price, Weight or wait for the fee estimate |
| Is it inside a cooldown? | The strategy’s Cooldown (minutes); the last decision’s time | Wait, or lower the cooldown |
| Has the market moved? | The Competitors tab for the ASIN | Apex reacts to offer changes; a quiet ASIN gets no new decision until the floor sweep or your own edit |
| Is the Buy Box under your floor? | Status, Can’t Win; the reason says “unwinnable” | Decide: lower the floor (cost, margin, vendor cost) or change the unwinnable rule |
The live price is under my floor
- The floor sweep raises it on its next pass, and the decision reason reads “floor compliance”. If the price stays low for hours, see “Amazon shows a price we never sent” below.
- If the price IS what Apex sent and the floor rose afterwards (a cost increase), the sweep catches that too.
- If it is a business price or quantity tier, the loop does not read those: run Audit business tiers on the Settings page. See Business (B2B) Pricing.
Amazon shows a price we never sent
Apex sent one price; Amazon shows another, and it stays that way.
- Give it the apply time. A price can take about 100 minutes to show after Amazon accepts it.
- Read the parked reason. Hover the SKU on the Status page. A brand approval, a content policy or a pricing-error hold is Amazon’s doing; fix it in Seller Central and the listing heals on its next re-read.
- Look for a second tool. Seller Central → Apps & Services. Another repricer or a store integration writing prices will fight Apex forever. Disconnect it.
- Wait for the notice. After the stuck wait (default 6 hours, 2 under the floor) your team gets an in-app notification with the two prices and Amazon’s issue text. See Price Verification & Health.
Diverged for hours
Usually the apply delay or a listing issue, as above. A listing that diverges on every submission for days is parked; the reason tells you which. If Amazon lists no issue and no second tool exists, the ASIN may have a price Amazon considers out of range (a pricing-error hold with no text); review it in Seller Central.
A new listing was deactivated for a pricing error
Its first price sat far above the market, or above what Amazon considers reasonable for the ASIN. New listings are capped at a percentage above Amazon’s price (default 25%, First price: max % above Amazon’s price), and a below-floor listing asks you to confirm first. If a listing still gets flagged, lower the cap for that strategy, or review the floor if the market really is that low. See New listings and first prices.
Follow the market is on but the price is capped at the ceiling
Follow the market needs at least two other sellers on the ASIN (default; Follow the market: needs at least). With one rival or none, the ceiling caps the price. A hand-set Max price on the product also caps it, and so do the floor and MAP.
A business buyer paid less than my floor
A quantity discount or business price Apex did not set (made in Seller Central, by a previous tool, or before Apex managed the offer) stays on Amazon until it is changed. Run Audit business tiers (Apex Repricer → Settings) to list every such price under your floor; then correct the ones you choose in Seller Central, or put the offer under a strategy with business pricing on so Apex manages the tiers. The audit changes nothing on its own. See Business (B2B) Pricing.
The repricer skipped an offer
The Decisions table reason says which input is missing: cost, weight, fee estimate, or a fulfillment mismatch (an FBA offer under an FBM strategy). Fix the input; the next event prices it. Apex never guesses a missing number.
The floor looks wrong
Open the product’s Amazon card: Cost floor and the margin breakdown show the cost, shipping, referral and FBA numbers used. Common causes: the wrong weight band, a vendor cost being used because your own stock at the mapped locations is out (the reason says whose cost), an Item cost override you forgot, or MAP raising the floor. See Costs, Floors & Overrides.
Settings would not save
Each setting has a range; the message names the setting and the range. The two stuck waits cannot go under 2 hours, and the stuck-period gap cannot be shorter than the parked re-read wait. Blank means the default. See Repricer Settings.
I changed a cost and the price did not move
Saving Item cost on the Amazon card reprices at once. Changing the product’s Cost Price is picked up at the next decision or by the floor sweep, not instantly.
Frequently asked
Does Apex ever price below MAP? Not while the strategy’s MAP switch is on, except quantity tiers when Allow quantity tiers below MAP is on for business pricing.
Can two strategies cover the same offer? No. An offer has one strategy; the Amazon card shows which.
Does assigning a strategy change the price right away? It triggers a decision for the offer. Whether the price moves depends on the market and the band.
What does Apex do when it has no competitor data? The engine’s no-competition rule: harvest to the ceiling or hold, per the strategy.
Does Apex reprice eBay, Walmart or my website? Not today. It prices Amazon offers.
How do I stop everything? Set each strategy to inactive, or pause repricing per offer. Prices stay where they were.
