Mapping links a catalog product to a channel listing. Once mapped, inventory and price push out to the channel, and orders pull back in — keyed by SKU. Without a mapping, a product simply doesn’t sell on that channel.
The two ways to map
Match existing — if the item already exists in the channel’s catalog (a known ASIN on Amazon, an existing eBay listing), match your SKU to it by identifier (UPC/EAN/GTIN/ASIN). You sell on the existing detail page.
Create new — if no listing exists, create one. You’ll choose the channel’s category/product type and fill its required attributes — most of which pull from your catalog attributes automatically.
How sync works once mapped
- Inventory & price push from catalog → channel on change and on schedule.
- Orders pull from channel → your unified inbox.
- Everything keys off SKU, so SKU stability is essential.
⚠️ Warning: The #1 cause of sync problems is a SKU mismatch between the catalog product and the mapped listing. If quantities or prices look wrong, check the mapping first.
Variants
Mapping happens at the variant/SKU level, not the parent product. Each variant maps to its own listing/offer.
