This is the complete guide to selling on Amazon — from authorizing your Seller account to mapping products, syncing inventory, and pulling orders into your unified inbox.

ℹ️ Before you start: you’ll need an active Amazon Seller Central account on the Professional plan, admin access to authorize apps, and your products already in the catalog with clean SKUs.

1. Connect your Seller account

  1. Open the Amazon channel — go to Channels and select Amazon, then click Connect.
  2. Authorize via Amazon — sign in with your Seller Central admin account and approve the requested permissions.
  3. Select your marketplace — choose the Amazon marketplace(s) you sell in (e.g. amazon.com).

✅ Once connected, the channel status shows Connected and begins its first sync. No inventory or price is pushed until you map products.

2. Map products to Amazon listings

Amazon identifies products by ASIN. You either match an existing ASIN or create a new listing.

Match to an existing ASIN

  1. From the Amazon channel, open Listings → Map products.
  2. Provide the product’s UPC/EAN/GTIN or ASIN. The system validates it against Amazon’s catalog.
  3. Review the matched detail page and confirm. Your SKU is now tied to that ASIN.

Create a new listing

  1. Choose the closest product type in Amazon’s taxonomy.
  2. Fill the required attributes — these pull from your catalog attributes where mapped.
  3. Submit. Amazon processes new listings asynchronously.

⚠️ Brand gating & restricted categories: some brands and categories are gated on Amazon and require Brand Registry or category approval on Amazon’s side. Resolve gating in Seller Central — the platform can’t bypass Amazon’s approvals.

3. Sync inventory and price

What syncs Direction When
Inventory quantity App → Amazon On change + scheduled
Price App → Amazon On change + scheduled
Orders Amazon → App Short polling interval
Tracking / fulfillment App → Amazon When you ship

💡 Tip: Inventory is keyed by SKU. If quantities look wrong on Amazon, the usual cause is a SKU mismatch between your catalog and the mapped listing.

4. Import Amazon orders

Amazon orders flow automatically into your unified Orders inbox, normalized to the standard order lifecycle.

  1. Create a flow triggered by Order paid, filtered to the Amazon channel.
  2. Add Push to ShipStation so paid Amazon orders route automatically. See ShipStation.
  3. When you ship, tracking pushes back to Amazon automatically.
